Decenter-Souvenir

The looted pre-Columbian pyramid has been cut in half. What we are left with is a great void, an empty space. This gap is my starting point; using the photographic negative, shadow is inverted into light. The result is a new space of pure potentiality.

But like all rediscovered historical sites it can only exist under our own terms; sacred space becomes a new tourist destination.
